In 2023, I am on a mission to photograph
40 women over 40
Culminating with an exhibition to share the portraits and incredible stories of each woman I have photographed.
I’m Jessica, an awared-winning, published photographer serving the Louisville KY area and surrounding counties.
I created this project because
Women over 40 are sadly underrepresented in the media. And with every decade of wisdom gained, they are represented even less. I think this should change.
I want the way we look at ourselves, each other, and at aging in a whole new way- a way to be celebrated and nurtured. We deserve to be SEEN irrespective of our age, shape, or size.
I know your portraits will be cherished by your loved ones for decades to come. The portraits of my mother are a prized possession, just as I know my daughter will be forever grateful that she has portraits of me as well.

STYLING + PLANNING
During our consultation, we will discuss your ideas for the session as well as capture details about your unique story.
I will guide you on what to bring to your shoot and you will have access to my studio wardrobe.
You will have time for about four different outfits during your session.
PROFESSIONAL MAKEOVER
On the day of your session, our professional makeup artist will make sure you look your absolute best, whether you want soft and natural or high glam.
You will also receive light hairstyling to complete your fresh look.

PHOTOSHOOT
Are you worried that you won’t know how to pose? Feel like you’re not photogenic?
I will make sure you are guided through each pose, from fingers to toes, with expression coaching as well.
You will leave feeling incredibly empowered. I recommend planning a night out afterwards because you will look and feel amazing!
IMAGE REVEAL + SELECTION
Shortly after your session, we will set up an in-person or Zoom reveal. This is when you will select your complimentary image (and the one that will be featured in the project finale.)
You can also order more of your stunning images at this time if you choose to.

What does it include?
As one of the women in the 40 over 40 project, you will receive:
CONSULTATION – this is where I learn a bit of your story and discover how you would like to be photographed. We plan your wardrobe & styling as well.
ACCESS TO STUDIO WARDROBE – Of course, you may bring any wardrobe pieces you choose, but you also have access to the many dresses, gowns, and props in the studio wardrobe.
HAIR & MAKEUP – Our professional makeup artist will tailor your look to match your vision for your shoot. Additionally, light hairstyling and touch ups are available.
PHOTOSHOOT – Plan on at least 4 or 5 unique looks/outfits to give you a ton of variety. Want something professional? Something spicy? Glamorous? ALL of the above? You’ve got it!!
IMAGE REVEAL – This is our planned meeting where you select and order your favorites as well as the time when you select your gallery piece.
PORTRAIT OF YOUR CHOICE – You will receive a complimentary portrait of your choice ($350 value), OR, if you decide you want to purchase more, then entire $399 you paid will be credited to a collection of your choice.
YOUR STORY FEATURED – Your story and photos will be featured across our social medias as well as featured at the gala, so everyone can see you shine!
TICKET TO THE EXHIBITION GALA – Once the portrait project is complete, we will host a gala featuring the portraits and stories of each of the amazing 40 over 40 women we have photographed.
