Did Someone Say BRIDAL BOUDOIR?

Yup, it's a thing!

When I first started shooting boudoir several years ago, I was not aware of Bridal Boudoir, but here we are, years later, and this has proven to be their husband's FAVORITE part of the wedding experience! My bridal clients often tell me it's a wedding gift for their spouse, but what I've learned is that it is SO much more.

And...it's not REALLY about the lingerie

I've found that brides have spent a year (sometimes two years) pouring themselves into wedding planning. The venue, the florist, the caterer, the coordinator, makeup trials, and on and on. It can be a stressful time for such a happy occasion.

And sometimes these ladies lose a part of themselves in this process. They get swept up in the day to day and then all of these other things to figure out on top of work, what's for dinner, did I get my car tags renewed? Especially for us over-thinkers.

Add to that, the pressure to be your most beautiful self. The working out, the tanning, the diets, the facials. Most of us head into our bridal season looking and hopefully feeling the best we've ever been (albeit, tired!) And yes, while the guests and family will "Ohh & Ahh" on your wedding day, there's a part of you that you want to memorialize.

Your life is about to forever change, and remembering yourself in that tiny moment before...can be incredibly powerful.

Call me HOT, not PRETTY!

I've heard the stories from brides too many times to count. They already know their family, friends, guests, and even their soon to be spouse will say things on their wedding day such as "you look so beautiful, you look so pretty, you are just gorgeous!"

Yes! Of course they will, because you ARE. Every damn day. Not just on your wedding day.

But it hits differently when the person you're about to marry says "DAMN! You are smoking HOT!"

Puts a whole different pep in your step when you walk down the aisle.

Plus, on those days when you have the messy bun and have been living in sweats all weekend- pull out your album!

But Jessica, I'm no model

And neither are my clients.

My clients are real women, with real bodies, with rolls and cellulite, who have the same insecurities we all do.

They don't feel super confident in doing their own makeup.

They don't know how to pose.

They are unsure what to wear.

They are afraid they will feel awkward.

And that's where I come in.

I help guide you into poses that give that WOW factor, AND I will demonstrate them first.

My clients have access to my wardrobe room so they can try on allllll the things.

Perhaps that’s exactly why bridal boudoir keeps finding its way onto more and more wedding checklists. Brides are realizing their wedding isn’t just about the dress, the DJ, the cake, or making sure everyone else has a good time. It’s also about having major fun, feeling ridiculously sexy, and creating something that belongs entirely to you. Trade the veil for the lingerie for a day, and give yourself one last little secret before you say “I do.” Most wedding traditions are meant to be shared. This one stays between you, your photographer, and whoever gets lucky enough to see the album. 😉
